Tether Posts $4.9 Billion Q2 Profit, Hits $157 Billion Circulating USDT Milestone
Tether's Q2 2025 financial results underscore its dominance in the stablecoin sector, with a $4.9 billion net profit bringing its first-half total to $5.7 billion. The firm's USDT circulation surged by $20 billion year-to-date, reaching a record $157 billion—a clear indicator of accelerating institutional adoption.
Reserves now exceed $162.5 billion, including $127 billion in U.S. Treasury holdings. Notably, $3.1 billion of profits came from core operations, while $2.6 billion derived from Bitcoin and gold appreciation. This performance validates Tether's dual role as both a liquidity provider and strategic asset holder.
